Sheriff Reinstated at NWTWU

Friday, July 16, 2004 - This morning the Nassau West National Security Council asked Nassau West President Kelly K. Bartram to step in and handle the financial crisis facing the nation at the current time. His response was, "Well, how do you think I am going to have the time to deal with this AND work full-time at the company?" Although his question was rhetorical, it did end up being answered.

According to President Bartram, there is insufficient time available to handle this crisis while being "on the job" and away from the Capitol from 9 AM until usually about 9 PM, Monday through Friday. With the job at the company, sometimes weekends are consumed, as well. Bartram said he would be willing to help out, if the Sheriff were reinstated by the Nassau West Transportation Workers' Union.

The Sheriff, as you may remember, was dismissed by the Union in March for activities they perceived to be damaging not only to the NWTWU, but also to the Nassau West Department of Labor, and their labor agreement with their largest employer. Since that time, the President has reported for duty in the Sheriff's absence.

The Union was not thrilled with the idea of reinstating the Sheriff, however, they did finally admit that it was necessary for the greater good of the nation. So, they voted to reinstate Sheriff Bartram, effective on Monday, July 19, which is when he will return to the job in Tucson.

Over the course of this weekend, and the beginning of next week, the Department of Labor will continue in their efforts to secure a new labor agreement in the event that negotiations with our current employer fail to produce positive results. By the end of next week, the President will make a final appeal to the employer for the previously agreed to salary, which will help pull the nation through the rough times we're seeing now.

Nassau West Secretary of State Wayland Bartram is also in negotiations with the First Unified Council of Kingdoms to provide housing for Xochi Republic President Chris Walsh. If this venture succeeds, the Xochi Republic will be billed $250.00 per month. In this arrangement, the Nassau West Capitol would also serve as the First Unified Council of Kingdoms' worldwide headquarters.
