"Dark Army" Destroyed and Disbursed

Sunday, August 15, 2004 - This afternoon Nassau West President Kelly K. Bartram returned to the Capitol after a severe battle took place in the early morning hours about three miles northeast of the Capitol.

The combatants fighting the Nassau West Military, the NW Sheriff's Department, and the Presidential Security Service, were members of the little known and elusive "Dark Army." This was not their first campaign against Nassau West. Hopefully it will be their last.

This very same rogue band of desperadoes attacked the Republic in 1994 with near success in killing the President. However, their numbers were sufficiently reduced to cause them to retreat into seeming oblivion.

With this latest contest, Nassau West sent their President to safety, and prepared for the "battle of the century." However, the "Dark Army" was handily defeated with most members of the band being summarily executed. Others lay wounded to die.

One fighter with a big mouth was allowed to escape to warn the other banditos of the threat now poised against them by the highly agitated Nassau West.

In a related development, the Capitol is once again open to the public. The Capitol is expecting to host Xochi Republic President Chris Walsh on Friday (8/20) evening and Saturday.
