The First Presidential Debate

Heads or Tails? Heads is Bush, tails is Kerry. I'll take heads!

Wednesday, September 30, 2004 - Tonight the two main candidates for the President of the United States squared off for their first face to face debate. I've not yet gotten to see it, but I had it taped, and I anxiously wait to see John Kerry blow himself out of the water.

"W" really doesn't need this debate. John Kerry has done a fine job of discrediting himself for the past several months by saying something, and then later contradicting it by saying something entirely different. My favorite thing he did was voting to go to war, which he has since said he did not, and then voting against funding the war that he voted for.

For some reason, although if we have to have a Democrat I don't hate him, I just cannot trust this guy with national security. Those that have studied, or at least looked at, the U.S. Constitution, which is the oldest working constitution in the world, know that the only duty of the federal government is national security. Not health care, not social welfare, not anything other than national security.

From the little bits of news I had time to read about the debate, apparently they didn't spend much time talking about all the recent fuss about Ivan. I can tell you that even two weeks after the fact, Ivan is not at all amused about the bad publicity he's gotten.

I feel sorry for him. If he looks at television, this is the kind of shit that he sees. How is he supposed to feel?! It's a shame that all these people thought it was necessary to ridicule my cat!

I mean, this is just ridiculous. These two poor, white trash people don't even know Ivan! Who the hell do they think they are telling him to stay away?! OK. I live in a "trailer," but it looks a lot nicer than their place. Ivan doesn't even want to go to their damn house!

AP Photo: Ivan did this? Yeah, right! (c) 2004, AP.

And what about this? Ivan was blamed on national TV for causing this! This is bullshit! I know he's Ivan "the Terrible," but this is just taking things too damn far! He's pissed and so am I!
