"It's Getting Better all the Time!"

My filthy desk and work area while updating TooToughToDie.com in November, 2004. Photo by kbartram.com.

Wednesday, December 1, 2004 - I am happy to announce that very soon this web site and TooToughToDie.com will both be getting some pretty nifty features - I think. I have just received three new books, hopefully at least one of them will be of great help for your viewing pleasure.

The three books are all about web site design and programming. I have a book about Java, another about Java Script, and a third about Perl. If you don't know what these are, that's fine - it just means I'm a bigger nerd than you!

I'm guessing it will take me a few weeks to come up with enough time to get through all three of these books, and I haven't even decided which one to start with. I've read some of each, and I'm excited to get them all finished. When I do get around to finishing them, there should be some nice things happening.

I intend to try new ideas on this site first, making this site a "guinea pig," if you will (and even if you won't). Being as this site is my "personal" site, and TooToughToDie.com is my "professional" site, it seems best to try stuff out and perfect it here.

Incidentally, if you were not already aware, I may be the webmaster for CityOfTombstone.com someday. The newly-elected Mayor of Tombstone, Andree DeJournett, is a friend of mine, and he is impressed with my TooToughToDie.com, and unimpressed with the City's own web site. He asked me if I could do better, and told me if I could, maybe I could do the City's web site. That would be cool!

So, as you can see, I have a lot of incentive to complete these books as soon as possible. It would be quite the proverbial feather in my hat if I got to do the web site for the City of Tombstone. I guess we will see what we will see, huh?
